Uhhh what else. Yay Homestuck is back in full swing and whooo finally inspiration to give arranging for GSO a try again! By which I mean a proper full arrangement, not some dingy half-finished piano piece that I'm barely putting effort into.

Starting to think I should just switch my blog back to flat out friends only since I hardly ever make public posts anymore. :/ Should probably figure that out.

Checked Pottermore Insider today to see when it was opening up and now they're not planning on opening up registration until around the end of October. Pretty much, tables being flipped everywhere.

I guess, general update for people who are curious:

No major damage from Irene, biggest problem at the moment is that we have no power, it's been three days since the power cut, so all of our food is spoiling. I saw a large tree that had blown over during the storm on top of some power lines on my way down to the base this morning, so I think that's a major contributing factor to our lack of power. My parents have agreed that a generator would be a worthwhile future investment.

Another problem for me has been the lack of phone service. My service has been spotty at best. It's a slight problem for me since I need to make some phone calls.

Other then some branches and whatnot that got blown over in our yard, nothing big happened, no trees fell onto our house, which was the biggest concern we had.

At the library at the moment for internet and charging my computer. Need to apply for some jobs (fingers crossed for Bowhead!!). Went to the base this morning with my mom so I could shower, so that was nice!

Forgot to mention this forever ago, but I rather unsurprisingly picked up duodecim Dissidia Final Fantasy. I initially wasn't going to pre-order, but I figured that since I was going to buy the game anyway, I might as well get a free DLC costume.

Unsurprisingly, I'm pretty good with Tifa. All the new characters had rather surprisingly refreshing combat styles.

The absolute biggest surprise bar none so far has been that I ACTUALLY LIKE VAAN IN DISSIDIA. VAAN. I DISLIKE HIM SO MUCH IN FFXII, AND YET I LIKE HIM SO MUCH IN DUODECIM THE LOGIC

It's funny though, I went from maining Firion to realising he's terrible to use endgame because he's such a ground-based fighter and ended up maining Squall instead (I'm still not sure what to make of this, given Squall is nowhere near my fave hero and yet it works...IDK) to maining Tifa and using Squall as my second.

I wanted to main Bartz but that didn't work out. Which was kind of upsetting. At least I like using Tifa. I would've been upset if that didn't work out. Finaly starting to get the hang of using the feints.

Found the other earring. When I stepped on it. And broke it.

Haven't found the back piece yet either. So. Yeah. There's been a lot of fail in my life lately.

Apparently I lost an earring while I was wearing it. I'm really annoyed because I really like these earrings, they're a pair of moonstone studs. Now I only have one of them, and I've searched my entire room, no sign of the other one whatsoever.

Fortunately, I bought them online from etsy and the seller still has them up for sale, so I've already ordered another set, plus a second in amethyst. The only positive is that I've been meaning to buy more earrings from this seller, they're simple gemstone studs and I really like them. Shame I won't be able to get a pair in carnelian, says she only has 2 pairs left and I just bought them both :/

NGL kinda pissed that I didn't even notice it came off, if I had noticed I probably would've been able to find it. Knowing my luck it came off yesterday and got vacuumed up somehow.

Ugh, despite being a 3-day weekend, this weekend was just awful.

Goddammit, why do I always end up losing the earrings I like the most? This is so frustrating >:<<

※ Eyes randomly went blurry on S1, thought I was doing awesome, then I ran into a fairy.
※ Restarted, ran into said fairy two more times.
※ Managed to clear S1 no problems.
※ Ran into Hina. Restart.
※ Died on the midboss of S1.
※ EPIC RAGEQUIT.

The last time I tried to 1CC Mountain of Faith I made it all the way to Kanako's last card and was 20 seconds away from clearing the game successfully.

I'm going to go job-grind in FF5 now to vent my rage-induced frustration while DW downloads. Forgot to watch last week's episode.
